Edit a Survey

Once a SURVEY has been created it can be EDITED at any time. Instructors and TAs can both edit existing questions and add new questions to a survey. New survey questions can be created within the survey canvas, imported from existing surveys or POOLS, or uploaded from a local computer or the CONTENT COLLECTION.  A survey that has already been deployed to students should not be changed in any way.

  1. Go to the Control Panel. Select Course Tools then click Tests, Surveys and Pools.
  2. Click Surveys.
  3. Click the contextual menu button next to the survey you would like to edit. From the dropdown menu select click Edit.
  4. Add additional questions to the end of the test by creating a new question, or by adding question(s) from existing tests or pools.

    a. To create a new question hover your mouse over the Create Question button, then select a question type.
    b. To use an existing question hover your mouse over Find Questions or click the Upload Questions button to upload questions from a file (more information about the file format is provided in More Help.
  5. Click on the contextual menu button next to an existing question to:

    a. Edit the question;
    b. Add a new question directly above;
    c. Add a new question directly below.

    Select the appropriate option from the dropdown menu.
  6. Edit or compose a question.
  7. Repeat steps 4 and 5, as necessary.
  8. Finish by clicking Submit then OK.
