Add Contact Information for Course Staff

The CONTACTS screen in Blackboard can display information about the instructor and other key people associated with the course.  You may use this screen to provide such information as office hours and location, phone number, and email address. You may also add a photograph or a link to a web site. 

To add a contact:

  1. Go to Control Panel. Click on Course Tools and select Contacts.
  2. Ensure that Edit Mode is ON.
  3. Click Create Contact.
  4. Enter Profile information.  Under Office Location you may also wish to include your office hours.
  5. Under Options you may choose to:
    • Make the profile available. If “Yes”, this information will be visible to students.
    • Attach an image (e.g. a photograph)
    • Attach a personal link (e.g. a personal or departmental website).
  6. Click Submit.
